There are moments when something simple enters your life… and your whole body says yes.
That was me earlier this week with a humble Ayurvedic tea blend I’ve now lovingly named Shakti CCF Tea. I’ve been drinking it nonstop since the moment I mixed it together — morning, afternoon, evening — and every cup feels like it’s clearing space in my body, awakening my energy, and helping me come home to myself in the sweetest, simplest way.
And yesterday, when I shared it with a few girlfriends, they all had the same reaction:
“Oh. Wow. I need this in my life.”
So today, I’m sharing it with you.
Because there is plenty in this world that will drain you. What we need now are more simple rituals that help us feel lighter, clearer, grounded, and in flow — without complicated steps or expensive ingredients. Just real nourishment. Real Shakti.

🌿 What Is Shakti CCF Tea?
It’s a modern twist on a classic Ayurvedic blend called CCF tea — Cumin, Coriander, and Fennel. Traditionally, these spices are simmered in water to support digestion, detoxification, and gentle daily cleansing.
My body asked for a little extra magic, so I created a version that’s bright, feminine, uplifting, and deeply supportive for the nervous system.
My Signature Shakti CCF blend includes:
Cumin seeds
Coriander seeds
Fennel seeds
Dried ginger
Crushed cardamom pods
A touch of rose (optional, but utterly goddessy)
And then — the part that made this blend truly come alive for me:
✨ I finish every cup with fresh lemon juice.

Not dried peel.
Not lemon flavor.
Fresh, bright, vibrant lemon — squeezed in right before drinking.
This small shift transforms the tea into something radiant.
It’s like adding sunlight.
It tastes warm, citrusy, comforting, and slightly sweet — with a subtle spice that wakes up your inner fire without overstimulating your system.
But more importantly:
It makes you feel GOOD!
And your body knows it — you feel more clear, open, refreshed.
✨ Why Fresh Lemon Changes Everything
Fresh lemon brings a kind of aliveness that dried peel can’t quite capture. It adds:
brightness
vibrancy
lightness
awakening energy
a subtle joyfulness
And something else happens too:
your body responds.
You literally feel more clear, more open, more refreshed.
It’s the difference between a lovely herbal tea…and a sensory ritual that lifts you from the inside out.
My favorite moment of the ritual is squeezing in that lemon — watching it cloud the tea, smelling the citrus oils release, and then taking that first sip where everything inside you exhales and resets.
✨ Why I Love This Tea (and why your body will too)
Since drinking it daily (with or without the fresh lemon finish), I’ve noticed:
a lighter, brighter feeling in my body
improved digestion
reduced bloating
more steady energy
a softer, clearer mental space
a sense of flow — like my whole system is unclogging and clearing out
gentle detox without effort or strain
a deeper feeling of hydration and nourishment
it hydrates without cooling, warms without overstimulating...a balance that feels like the feminine in perfect harmony
This is the kind of ritual that doesn’t take from you — it gives to you.
And my girlfriends said the same.
It’s one of those things you have to feel to understand — like your body exhaling and saying:
“Thank you, this is exactly what I needed.”
💛 The Energetics Behind the Tea

What I love most is that this tea works on the physical and energetic levels.
Cumin gathers and warms.
Coriander cools and clears.
Fennel soothes and restores.
Ginger activates your inner fire.
Cardamom opens the heart and softens stagnation.
Rose invites feminine flow and emotional ease.
Fresh lemon brightens your aura, awakens your cells, and lifts your mood.
Together, they bring clarity, softness, vitality, and grounding — the exact medicine so many of us need right now.
This is Shakti — in a cup.
🍵 How to Make It
You can make a jar of the blend and keep it on your counter for easy daily use.
Here’s the recipe I’ve been using:
Shakti CCF Jar Mix
3 tbsp cumin seeds
3 tbsp coriander seeds
3 tbsp fennel seeds
2 tbsp dried ginger
1 tbsp crushed cardamom pods
1 tsp dried rose petals (optional)
Mix together and store in a jar.
🍵 How to Brew the Shakti CCF Tea
I love making a larger batch at a time so I can sip it throughout the day. It’s delicious hot, room temperature, and even chilled — the energy of the tea shifts with the temperature, and each version feels supportive in its own way.
My Favorite Everyday Method
Add 1 tablespoon of the blend to 4 cups of water.
Bring to a simmer and gently cook for 10 minutes.
Strain into your favorite mug or jar — or don’t.
Honestly, I often let the herbs stay in the jar until I’m ready to drink.
The flavor keeps deepening, and the tea feels even more grounding.
The Shakti Moment (Don't skip this)
Squeeze in fresh lemon juice — as much or as little as your body desires that day.
It offers a a bright, vibrant lift to the tea.
You’ll feel when you’ve added just the right amount.
Some days my body wants a lot, some days none — follow your intuition.
This is where the ritual becomes intuitive.
This is where the magic enters.
🌿 Other Ways to Brew(and Why You Might Choose Them)
Flash-Simmer
Pour boiling water over the blend, simmer 1–2 minutes, steep 10.
Why choose this:
Perfect when you’re short on time
Quickly unlocks the aromatic oils in the spices
Still gives a warm, digestive-boosting effect
Great for mid-afternoon cups or when you want something lighter
It’s essentially the “fast version” without sacrificing too much potency.
Overnight Infusion
Add the herbs to a jar, pour boiling water, and steep overnight.
Why choose this:
Very gentle on the system
More hydrating and cooling
Excellent for sensitive digestion or warmer climates
Requires zero effort — just strain and sip in the morning
This version brings out the cooling, soothing qualities of the herbs rather than the warming digestive action.
🔥 Why Simmering for 10 Minutes Is Best This Time of Year
As we transition from fall → winter, simmering for 10 minutes is best because:
digestion naturally slows
circulation contracts
metabolism needs more activation
warmth and grounding become essential
the body needs help clearing stagnation
the nervous system craves steady, warm nourishment
This method creates the most potent, supportive, and seasonally aligned version of the tea for this time of year.
This is a Vata-to-Kapha seasonal transition — meaning:
fall brings dryness, wind, irregularity
winter brings cold, heaviness, stillness
Both seasons can weaken digestion, slow metabolism, increase bloating, and create internal “sluggishness.”

This is exactly why a full 10-minute simmer is the ideal brewing method right now.
Simmering:
releases more essential oils from cumin, coriander, and fennel
strengthens their warming, grounding, digestive properties
enhances circulation (great for cold hands/feet)
supports a steady, strong agni (digestive fire)
helps the body stay “warm on the inside”
keeps lymph + liver moving even as the weather slows everything down
reduces that fall/winter tendency toward sluggish metabolism + heaviness
This is herbal nourishment that matches the season.
In fall and winter, our bodies don’t thrive on “light, cooling, or subtle.”
They thrive on warm, steady, deeply infused nourishment.
A full simmered CCF tea gives you:
warmth
movement
clarity
digestive stability
comfort
energetic grounding
—all of which harmonize beautifully with this colder, darker time of year.
This tea is beautifully flexible, forgiving, and intuitive — a ritual that meets you wherever you are.
🌼 A Ritual of Lightness and Flow

Every cup feels like an invitation:
Slow down.
Come home.
Clear out what you no longer need.
Let your energy rise.
This is feminine nourishment in its simplest form.
And, please understand you do not have to be a woman to enjoy this tea. Shakti is the universal feminine energy that lives in all beings.
Most of us need more feminine softness, gentleness, and vibrancy in our lives. That's the Shakti - the feminine at work for you.
And while I may turn this blend into a product one day (because my heart is so pulled toward sharing it more widely)… for now, I want you — my community — to have access to it freely.
Your body deserves this kind of softness and clarity.
Your energy deserves this flow.
Your heart deserves this moment of pause, presence, and nourishment.
And if you join me at one of my live, in-person events, there’s a good chance you’ll get to taste it yourself — I love sharing a pot of Shakti CCF Tea when we gather.
To go deeper into this ritual, I’ve created a guided Shakti CCF Tea Meditation you can download. It’s a slow, grounding, mother-held journey — perfect for winter, perfect for anyone wanting to feel supported from the inside out.
If you try it at home, I’d love to hear how it feels in your body.
I have a feeling many of us are ready to drink this daily.
To clarity, lightness, and Shakti in every sip.💛
If this tea has you feeling more clear, nourished, and connected — imagine having a whole library of practices that meet you in that same way.
That’s what the SOULutions App is: a sanctuary of sacred tools for real life.
Rituals, teachings, meditations, and a community that actually feels like home.
