Spring Cleanse the Soulful Way: Reset, Awaken, Align

Updated: Apr 8

There are moments when you can feel it…

Not that something is wrong.

And something is off.

That’s where I’ve been lately.

My body has been functioning. I’ve been doing all the things that need to be done. Showing up, supporting others, moving through my days.

And underneath it all, there’s been a quiet pull.

A knowing.

It’s time to reset.

That feeling became very clear this morning.

At 4:44am, I woke up wide awake—foggy, achy, and off. The kind of wake-up that doesn’t feel inspired or aligned… just uncomfortable enough that you can’t ignore it.

So I listened.

Instead of pushing through, I slowed down.

I made a hot cup of water with lime.

I sat and sipped it while meditating.

I let myself feel exactly how I felt—without trying to fix it, and without judging it.

Then I laid back down with a crystal heating pad under my back and rested, listening to a book.

Nothing dramatic shifted.

And gently enough it did shift.

By the time my family needed me, I was able to show up.

Not perfectly.

And absolutely enough.

That moment didn’t just pass…

It anchored something in me.

This is my invitation to begin again.

This Isn’t Just About Food

So often when we think of a cleanse, we think about what we’re eating—or not eating.

And cleansing is so much more than that.

This is about creating space.

Physically.

Mentally.

Emotionally.

Energetically.

Because we are not just a body.

We are energy, mind, wisdom, and bliss.

In my work—and in my book The Next Step—I explore these layers through the five koshas, or sheaths of being.

True renewal happens when we tend to all of them.

Not perfectly.

And intentionally.

A Simple Spring Rhythm

You don’t need to completely overhaul your life to reset.

This isn’t about doing everything.

This is about finding a rhythm.

A way to gently support your system as we move into spring—a season of awakening, clearing, and new beginnings.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing what I’m actually doing in real time that help bring the body and mind back into alignment.

Simple meals.

Daily rituals.

Small shifts that make a big difference.

You’re not meant to follow this perfectly.

You’re invited to take what resonates—and leave the rest.

The Spring Renewal Rhythm

Each week, I’ll guide you through a simple structure:

  • 2 nourishing recipes Simple, seasonal meals that support digestion and energy

  • 1 Daily Ritual or Practice

A grounding anchor you can return to each day

  • 1 Self-Care Practice

Support for the body through touch, circulation, and restoration

  • 1 Lifestyle Cleanse Focus

Small, doable shifts to clear space in your daily life

  • 1 Reflection Prompt

A moment to pause, listen, and reconnect within

  • 1 live weekly yoga practice in the SOULutions App (Thursdays at 9am MT April 9, 16 & 23)

    • Use code: Renewal for 50% off your first month

(First week is free for new users)

That’s it.

This approach supports all layers of your being—from the physical body to your energy, mind, and inner awareness.

A container you can return to—without overwhelm.

Week 1: Clear the Space

(Body + Energy | Annamaya + Pranamaya Kosha)

We begin with the physical body and the energy body.

Clearing. Softening. Creating space.

Not forcing. Not restricting.

Just beginning.

Intentionally.

🍵 Your Daily Anchor: Spring Renewal Shakti CCF Tea

If there is one place to start, start here.

This tea is simple, powerful, delicious and something you can come back to every single day.

My take on this classic Ayurvedic tea supports digestion, reduces bloating, and gently encourages the body’s natural detox process—making it an ideal daily ritual for spring cleansing.

In Ayurveda, spring is a time when excess kapha (heaviness, sluggishness, congestion) can accumulate. This blend of spices helps to stimulate digestion (agni), clear stagnation, and bring the body back into balance.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups water

  • ½ tsp fennel seeds

  • ½ tsp coriander seeds

  • ½ tsp cumin seeds

  • 3–4 slices fresh ginger

  • squeeze of lemon (after steeping)

  • optional: fresh mint

Directions:

Bring water and spices to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Strain, add lemon (and fresh mint-you'll be glad you did!), and sip warm.

Drink in the morning or between meals.

This is your anchor habit.

Why This Tea Works

  • Cumin supports digestion and helps the body metabolize nutrients more efficiently

  • Coriander is cooling and supports the liver and gentle detoxification

  • Fennel reduces bloating and soothes the digestive tract

  • Ginger kindles digestive fire (agni), improving circulation and assimilation

  • Lemon brightens the blend, gently awakens digestion, and adds a cleansing, clarifying lift that feels beautifully aligned with spring

  • Mint adds a fresh, uplifting quality—supporting digestion while also bringing a light, clearing energy to the mind and breath

Together, this blend helps reduce heaviness, clear excess, and create a sense of lightness and clarity—physically and energetically.

Turn It Into a Ritual

Before you take your first sip, pause.

Take one deep breath in.

Exhale slowly.

Then set a simple intention:

“I release what I no longer need.”

or

“I create space for something new.”

Then drink slowly.

Let this be a moment of presence.

A moment to listen.

A moment to return.

Begin Where You Are

You don’t need to do everything today.

You don’t need to be perfect.

You don’t need to get it “right.”

Just begin.

Make the tea.

Take a breath.

Clear one small space.

And notice what shifts.

I’d Love to Hear From You

How are you feeling right now?

What is your body—or your life—asking for this season?

You can share in the comments or simply take a moment to reflect for yourself.

Next, I’ll be sharing a few of the simple meals I’ve been making, including a fresh Spring Chia Bowl and a nourishing Buddha Bowl that truly feels like renewal.

We’re just getting started.

With Spring Blessings,

Mindy
