There’s something powerful about reaching day 7 of a cleanse—not because everything has been perfect, but because it hasn’t.
This past week, I traveled to Casper, Wyoming to coach a 2-day volleyball tournament. Long days, changing schedules, and being surrounded by food that didn’t align with how I am choosing to nourish myself.

And still… I showed up.
I packed my food.
I made conscious choices.
I gave myself grace when I had coffee and a glass of wine.
And I kept going.
That’s the work.
Not perfection.
Presence.
What Shifted This Week
I removed most of what I set out to—and I feel it.
Clearer.
Lighter.
More like myself again.
I’ve returned to simple, supportive habits:
Morning hot lime water
Daily yoga + meditation
Nourishing, clean meals
Self-care rituals like dry brushing and abyanga (self oil massage)
And one morning in particular reminded me exactly why I do this…
My “This is Why” Morning
Saturday in Casper was one of the best mornings I’ve had in a long time.

I:
Meditated
Dry brushed
Showered + oiled my body
Practiced yoga
Ate chia pudding with fruit + coconut
Went for a hike
Journaled
Enjoyed a nourishing Buddha bowl
All before coaching.
That’s not about discipline.
That’s about alignment.
The Real Spring Cleanse Moments
This week also included:
Headaches
Cravings
Kind offers of food that didn’t serve me
And instead of being hard on myself…I got curious.
“What do I actually need right now?”
That question changes everything.
Self-Care is a Conscious Choice
Last night I got home from Casper at 11:00pm—completely exhausted.
There’s something about walking back into your own space after being on the road that just hits differently. I slept like a champ in my own bed, got the kids off to school, had a simple protein shake… and chose to take care of me.
Finishing week 1 of my spring cleanse wasn’t about pushing.
It was about restoring.
So I went to the hot springs and soaked for an hour.
And wow… I felt that.
Now, I know not everyone has access to hot springs, and the deeper invitation is the same:
Create space to receive.
A warm bath.
A quiet walk.
A moment without demands.
That’s part of this cleanse too.
Moving Into Week 2: Mono Diet
I’m officially moving into Week 2 of this journey—and stepping into something new:
A kitchari mono diet for the next 7 days.
(Yes… still a little “eeek” over here 😄)
And what I’m noticing most isn’t just what I’m eating—
It’s how I’m choosing.
This cleanse has become so much more than food.
It’s shifted my perspective in a real, grounded way:
What I eat matters
What I ingest (food, media, energy) matters
How I spend my time matters
The products I use matter
Who I surround myself with matters
I matter.
And I’m choosing to live like that’s true.
Why a Kitchari Mono Diet?
This is the question I got all weekend…
“What is kitchari—and why would you eat the same thing for 7 days?”
Fair question 😄
Kitchari (pronounced kich-uh-ree) is a simple Ayurvedic dish made from:
Split mung beans (or lentils)
Basmati rice
Gentle digestive spices like ginger, cumin, coriander, and turmeric
It's basically like the chicken soup of India with endless variations.
It’s warm, soft, easy to digest, and incredibly nourishing.
And that’s exactly the point.
Why Eat Just One Meal?
In Ayurveda, kitchari is often used as a reset for the digestive system.
When you eat a wide variety of foods, your body has to work harder to break everything down. Even healthy foods can become taxing when digestion is overloaded.
A mono diet simplifies everything.
It gives your system a break.
Instead of constantly processing… your body can:
Rest and repair
Release toxins (ama)
Reset digestion and metabolism
Rebuild strength from a more balanced place
Why I’m Doing It
For me, this isn’t about restriction.
It’s about creating space.
Space in my body.
Space in my mind.
Space in my habits.
It also removes decision fatigue around food—which is surprisingly freeing.
No overthinking.
No constant planning.
Just nourishment.
And Let’s Be Real…
Will it be perfect?
Probably not.
Will I learn a lot?
Absolutely.
And for those of you following along—you don’t have to go all in on a mono diet to receive the benefits.
You can:
Add kitchari as one meal a day or try the mono diet for 1-3 days
Pair it with simple veggies (duo diet)
Add in fruit to the kitchari and veggie diet for a trio approach
Or keep meals clean and simple in your own way
This is about support—not rigidity.
The Unexpected Wins
Something else is happening too…
And it’s kind of fun to admit 😄
I nearly got asked out on a date after my hike (he respectfully backed off when he saw my wedding ring—still, I felt it).
Men are noticing me.
Women are showing up with kindness and generosity.
Two club directors came up to me this weekend and told me how impressed they were—with my team and with me.
And physically?
I’ve already dropped 4–5 pounds—something I’ve been wanting since December.
This isn’t about weight.
This is about energy. Alignment. Presence.
When you choose yourself… people feel it.
The Spring Renewal Rhythm (Week 2)
This is where we bring it into your life—simply, gently, consistently.
🥣 2 Nourishing Recipes (+ 1 Bonus)
Green Buddha Bowl (grounding + energizing)
This was my go to meal all weekend!
Beet Soup (earthy, cleansing, supportive for digestion)
Bonus: Simple Kitchari (for mono, duo, or trio approach)
I’ll share these so you can explore what works for your body.
Daily Ritual: Breath + Presence
This week, keep it simple.
Take 3–5 minutes each morning for conscious breathing:
Inhale through the nose
Exhale slowly through the mouth
Let your body soften with each breath
Or, you can follow along with the yoga practice I recorded on the road (now inside the SOULutions App).
Self-Care Practice: Return to Nature
Your body is craving connection.
Go outside.
Walk barefoot in the grass
Sit in the sun
Dig in your garden
Breathe fresh air
Go for a hike or bike ride
Let the earth help regulate your system.
📵 Lifestyle Cleanse Focus: Digital Detox

This one is big.
Notice how often you reach for your phone.
This week:
Turn off non-essential notifications
Create phone-free windows in your day
Reduce the dopamine hits
You don’t need more input.
You need more presence.
Reflection Prompt
What resistance is surfacing right now?
Instead of pushing it away… get curious.

What if that resistance isn’t here to make your life harder…but is actually pointing you toward where love is needed most?
Sit with that.
Journal it.
Listen.

This Is Real Life Cleansing
Not restriction.
Not perfection.
Not doing everything “right.”
This is about:
Choosing yourself
Listening to your body
Creating space for what matters
Letting go of what doesn’t
Again and again.
And if you’re feeling it…
If something inside you is saying “I want that”…
Come join us.
You don’t have to do it alone.
Take the parts that feed your soul and leave the rest behind for your perfect spring reset.
A Deeper Realization: Be More You
Something became really clear to me this week…
Be More You is not just a simple 4-week experience.
It’s an Identity Reclamation Circle for women.
Because identity doesn’t get lost in just one way—and coming back to yourself takes more than mindset or finding your voice again.
Just like I share in my book, The Next Step…
We are not just a body and a mind.
We are multi-dimensional beings, here to explore our depth, our power, and our greatness.
And Be More You is meant to honor that.
What This Means
Yes, we will support you in feeling more like your true self again.
And we’ll do it in ways that are:
Kind
Nourishing
Whole-life supportive
Not through force.
Not through pressure.
Not through beating yourself up.
How We Come Back to Ourselves
We return through:
Love instead of judgment
Kindness instead of criticism
Feminine support instead of pushing
And a willingness to gently clear out what we’ve outgrown.
That might look like:
Shifting the way you eat
Updating your yoga and movement practices
Deepening your meditation
Creating space in your life for what actually matters
A Seasonal, Soulful Approach
Be More You is evolving into something seasonal and supportive.
A rhythm you can return to again and again—one that nourishes you on every level:
Body
Mind
Energy
Spirit
Because this isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about remembering who you’ve always been.
Ready to Join Us?
The next Be More You experience begins:
April 21
If you’ve been feeling disconnected, depleted, or out of rhythm—this is your invitation back.
Not to become someone new.
To come home to yourself.
Before You Go…
If you’ve made it this far, take a breath.
This isn’t just about food.
It’s not just about a cleanse.
It’s about noticing where you’ve drifted…and gently choosing your way back.
Again and again.
This week, you don’t have to do everything.
Start with one thing:
One nourishing meal
One moment of breath
One walk outside
One small shift away from distraction and toward presence
Let it be simple.
Let it be enough.
I’d Love to Hear From You
What’s coming up for you right now?
Is there resistance?
Is there clarity?
Is there something you know you’re ready to shift?
Drop a comment and share where you are in your journey—I read every single one, and it helps others feel less alone too.
Your Invitation
If you’re ready for deeper support…
If you want a space that holds all of you—not just your mindset, but your body, your energy, your habits, your life…
Be More You begins April 28.
This is your space to come back to yourself in a way that is:
Supportive
Nourishing
Real
You don’t have to figure it all out.
You just have to begin.
All my love,
Mindy
P.S. If this resonated, share it with someone who could use a reset right now.
