Spring Cleanse Week 1: Clear the Space — Food, Ritual & Reset

After sharing the beginning of my Spring Renewal journey, it felt natural to move into the next layer…

Actually living it.

Not perfectly.

Not all at once.

And intentionally.

The first week of my spring cleanse is about clearing space—in the body, in the energy, and in the physical world around use

Nothing extreme.

Nothing restrictive.

Just simple shifts that help you feel a little lighter, a little clearer, and a little more like yourself again.

👉 This gentle spring cleanse is designed to support your body, mind, and energy using simple Ayurvedic practices, nourishing recipes, and daily rituals.

Start Your Day: Light, Fresh & Alive

🥥 Spring Chia Renewal Bowl

This has been my go-to morning reset—light, refreshing, and surprisingly satisfying.

It feels like the perfect transition out of heavier winter breakfasts and into something more alive.

✨ Ingredients (1 serving)

Base:

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

  • ¾ cup unsweetened almond or coconut milk

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • pinch cardamom

  • splash vanilla

  • Lime zest - about a quarter of a lime

Let sit overnight or at least 2–4 hours.

✨ Toppings

  • Fresh pineapple

  • Coconut flakes

Optional:

  • berries

  • hemp seeds

  • small drizzle of honey

✨ Directions

Stir chia seeds, milk, and spices together.

Let thicken.

Top just before serving.

🌿 Notes

The pineapple + lime zest + coconut combination was unexpected and so good—bright, fresh, and energizing. I didn't even need to sweeten it with honey. So yummy.

It completely shifts breakfast into something that feels alive and light.

🥗 Nourish Your Body: Spring Renewal Buddha Bowl

This bowl is grounding and satisfying, while still feeling light and fresh. You can easily modify it to fit what ingredients you have on hand.

spring Buddha bowl with lentils, quinoa, avocado, fresh vegetables, and seeds with lime ginger dressing

✨ Ingredients (2 servings)

Base:

  • ½ cup cooked quinoa (or millet)

Legumes:

  • ½ cup cooked lentils

Veggies (mix of fresh + lightly cooked):

  • Mixed greens

  • Carrots

  • Cherry tomatoes

  • Cucumber

  • Radishes

  • Bell peppers (optional)

Extras:

  • Avocado

  • Pumpkin seeds (or sunflower seeds)

✨ Lime Ginger Dressing

  • 2 tbsp avocado oil

  • Juice of ½–1 lime

  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger

  • Pinch salt

  • Optional: drizzle of honey

✨ Directions

Cook your grain and lentils.

Lightly sauté any veggies you want warm, and keep the rest fresh for texture.

Assemble your bowl with a balance of warm + cool, soft + crunchy.

Top with avocado, seeds, and dressing.

🌿 Notes

Adding radishes and cucumber brought a fresh crunch that made this bowl feel even more like spring.

This is the kind of meal that leaves you nourished… not heavy.

🌬️ This Week’s Ritual: Tea + Breath Reset

If there is one practice to come back to this week, let it be this.

Ayurvedic CCF tea with lemon and mint in a ceramic mug by a sunny window as a morning ritual

Before your first sip:

  • Take 3 slow, conscious breaths

  • Exhale fully

  • Set a simple intention:

“I release what I no longer need.”

or

“I create space for something new.”

Then drink slowly.

Let this be a moment of pause.

A moment to listen.

A moment to return.

🌿 Self-Care Practice: Spring Cleanse the Body

Spring is the perfect time to support the body in clearing stagnation—not just through food, but through touch and circulation.

✨ Dry Brushing

Before showering, use a dry brush on your skin:

  • Brush toward the heart

  • Start at the feet and move upward

  • Use light, steady strokes: long strokes then circular

This supports lymphatic flow, circulation, and helps wake up the body.

✨ Oil the Body (Abhyanga)

After showering, apply oil to the body:

  • Use warm oil (almond, sesame or coconut)

  • Massage into the skin with slow, intentional movements

    • start at the neck, face, down into shoulders and arms to the hands. Massage the chest, breasts, abdomen, back. Then to the legs, feet and toes. Pay special attention to joints and any areas of your body that need extra love or attention.

This nourishes the nervous system, supports detoxification, and helps you reconnect with your body in a grounded, sensual, and loving way.

🧹 Lifestyle Cleanse Focus: Clear Your Space

Spring cleaning doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

Start small.

Choose one:

  • Clean out a drawer or one shelf in your closet

  • Open windows and let fresh air in

  • Dust or reset one space

Clearing your physical space creates space internally too.

✍️ Reflection Prompt

What am I ready to clear to make space for something new?

Begin Where You Are

You don’t need to do everything.

Just begin.

Make the tea.

Prepare one nourishing meal.

Clear one small space.

And notice what shifts.

We’re just getting started.

Let me know how this week is moving for you or if you have any questions. I read and respond to all comments.
