An End-of-Year Blessing: Where Light Meets You

As this year gently closes, I want to offer you a blessing —one not born from striving, fixing, or becoming…but from noticing.

Over these past months, rainbows have appeared again and again in my life —in the desert, at thresholds, and most recently, right outside my home on Christmas Day in the Colorado Rockies.

Each one arrived unexpectedly.

Each one felt like a quiet reassurance.

Rainbows are born when light and water meet.

They appear at moments of transition — after storms, during softening, when the sky is neither one thing nor another.

They remind us of something simple and profound:

Grace arrives when we allow ourselves to be present enough to receive.

This year may have asked a lot of you.

It may have stretched you, softened you, slowed you, or invited you into deeper truth than you expected.

And still — you crossed every threshold for a reason.

If parts of this year felt heavy, may they now soften.

If parts felt dry or depleted, may they be gently nourished.

If clarity felt far away, may it arrive not with force, but with ease.

You do not need to carry everything forward.

Only what feels alive, honest, and aligned.

As we step into a new turning of the spiral, may:

• clarity meet compassion

• strength meet softness

• effort give way to grace

May you trust that you are not separate from the blessing.

You are part of how it arrives.

Take a breath.

Let yourself receive.

And allow the light you’ve gathered to walk with you into the year ahead.
